Maksim Alekseenko (born August 10, 1988), better known by his stage name Histibe, is a Kiev-based Ukrainian music producer, DJ, sound designer, and songwriter. He founded and manages promo label Mask Movement.
Histibe has been quietly doing his own thing for the past five years and creating exciting new compositions in the electronic genre. Histibe has built up quite a reputation on the indie scene with multiple releases spanning different labels over the past years (Nerve Recordins, Offkey, Perkussiv – to name a few)
His SoundCloud music page is one of the most visited in Eastern Europe and has amassed more than 16,000 subscribers plus over 300,000 plays from around the world. What’s more, some of Histibe’s works received attention from such high-profile producers as Noisia, Skream and Rob Swire on Twitter. In different periods his tracks have also garnered positive feedback from popular DJs like Rob Babicz, State of Mind and Raiden. His DJ mixes played on the largest dance-radio stations of the former USSR like Radio Record (Russia) and Kiss FM (Ukraine) as well as in the clubs of the CIS countries.
As a sound designer Histibe released two exclusive sample libraries for contemporary electronic musicians. “Future Breaks” for Samplephonics and ”Underground Dubstep & Breaks” for Loopmasters.
Histibe’s remix on Knaye West’s “Cold” from his independently released mixtape “HISRMXBOX” was featured in “The 15 Best Remixes of Kanye West Tracks” on Complex Magazine’s website.
